KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ravn Alaska Ramp Service Agent is responsible for providing under-wing services for Company aircraft, which includes marshaling duties, baggage and cargo management tasks, and occasionally assisting passengers. This role carries out their tasks mostly outdoors, participating as a team to ensure airport operations are completed safely and professionally. This position will be trained to fulfill all ground operation duties in their respective location and to safely achieve performance goals. Other responsibilities aligned with Ravn Alaska Core Values include but are not limited to:
- Upholding safety by following all requirements of safe operations near or around aircraft, upholding policies and procedures established in the Company Airport Operations Manual (AOM) and delaying or stopping all airport operations that do not meet these requirements.

- Acting with integrity by conscientiously exercising baggage handling duties to reinforce the trust from our passengers. The Ramp Service Agent looks out for the personal belongings of those who choose our airline and recognizes the importance of this responsibility.
- Demonstrating commitment by staying current on training and fostering good communication with team members, making sure to maintain knowledge of and familiarity with local airport, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies, to ensure operations are compliant and safe.
- Proving reliability through responsible operation of ground service equipment, maintaining awareness of activity on the ramp to include aircraft and people movement, following established processes to mitigate delays in service. If a situation should occur, the Ramp Service Agent will report any damage or repairs immediately and ensure the appropriate team members are informed.
- Promoting our commitment to safe operations by actively taking part in Safety Management System (SMS) activities, including SMS training, promotional activities, and initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate can learn the flow of airport operations, can troubleshoot and multitask, and brings a great attitude to work every day. Other qualifications include:
- Must be able to keep a high standard for conscientious and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
- Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt to fluctuating workloads and shifting priorities associated with a fast-paced environment.
- Must be proficient with computers and able to communicate electronically.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must maintain a strong work ethic, demonstrate excellent leadership, and be neat in appearance.
- Must be able to work extended periods of time in inclement weather conditions.
- Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the role including bending, twisting, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds on a consistent basis, and work at great heights.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
- Must have the flexibility to work a varied duty schedule, which includes early and late shifts.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
