About the Position: We are seeking a quantitative researcher to develop, implement, and enhance algorithms and trading strategies for our automated trading system. The successful candidate will join the current team of researchers. In addition to possessing excellent analytical and technical skills, the successful candidate will be a creative problem solver, a clear communicator, and a strong team player.
Responsibilities:
- Generate ideas to enhance existing trading strategies and algorithms and develop new ones.
- Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and software developers in research and implementation.
- Perform quantitative research to validate and optimize innovations and improvements to trading models.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in statistics, math, science, or another quantitative discipline.
- Experience in Python (or another scripting language such as R or Matlab) and SQL databases.
- Flexible, able to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Experience with automated trading systems is a plus.
- Ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of financial markets experience.
- Ability to work well in small teams, as well as a highly motivated self-starter.
- Experience developing financial models.
- Highly detailed and well-organized.
- Experience with machine learning is a plus.
- Highly proficient in applying advanced statistical methods to large datasets.
