Summary:
Quality Systems Auditor ensures the systems and procedures are being properly followed to ensure the highest level of Quality in the product builds and manufacturing operations. Analyzes scope and severity of issues and may make appropriate recommendations. Verifies and confirms Quality Systems divisional compliance with internal and external requirements. Performs audits of certification related documentation, ensuring compliance to all quality management standards, governmental rules, regulations and requirements for the contract manufacturing of products. Fosters divisional teamwork within a continuous improvement environment.
Responsibilities:
• Participates and contributes to quality systems departmental management meetings and goal accomplishment
• Conducts process compliance and quality management system internal audits per schedule and defined procedures using audit checklists and other documentation tools (standards)
• Investigate and follow-up on issues observed during internal audits to determine impact
• Compiles, documents and distributes results of internal audits
• Works with the functional areas to improve process performance and compliance
• Participates in problem solving activities
• Works from detailed process sheets, visual aid packages, engineering change orders, production change notices, critical item lists and written instructions
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Effective multi-tasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
- Ability to work with and train diverse groups and organizational levels
- Working knowledge of required applicable certifications (i.e. ISO, etc.)
- Participate in a continuous improvement activity
- Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and professionalism when representing the company
- Demonstrate high attention to detail
- 0-2 years of auditing experience
- Ability to interpret, understand and communicate Quality System requirements as applicable to the Division
- Effective organization, prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
Education: • 4 year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
