This position will require performing routine operations and may require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed. The QRC would be responsible for performing inspections, understanding NDT operations, and working to disposition material as rework, repair, scrap, or accept. They will also be able to fully layout tools and parts with measurement gauges. This position will require performing complex operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team
  • Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment
  • Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that process steps are being followed
  • Perform dispositions of nonconforming material
  • Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned.
  • Ability to conduct physical activities such as bending, reaching, pulling, pushing
  • Familiarity with plant tools, equipment, blueprints and inspection gauges
  • Perform Solumina required job audits for OpCert surveillance
  • Gather data from various sources to accurately evaluate a nonconformance
  • Responsibilities are not limited to the listed items above and can be changed or modified based on skill level, proficiency, and overall performance.
  • Train a diverse team of employees responsible for the MRB area.
  • Perform OpCert over-inspects, as required.
  • Investigate and analyze any hardware/assembly concerns causing quality and delivery issues by reviewing procedures, specifications, instructions, processes, and equipment to ensure compliance to applicable drawing, specifications, and standards in an effort to resolve Quality and Delivery concerns.
  • Demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills. Exhibit consistent skill and positive attitude towards the job while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivity.
  • Perform necessary problem solving to determine extent of nonconformance and complete documentation
  • Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results
  • Detailed inspection cert is required at the conclusion of training.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working a Quality or related technical role within a manufacturing/ production facility
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, planning, problem solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems and user of MRP/ERP/SAP systems used in production control, planning, manufacturing execution, clinic and MRB.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations regulatory requirements or work experience with government regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies.
  • Six Sigma or ASQ Certification a plus.
  • Solid understanding of conventional Quality related inspection, NDT, CMM, calibration and other machine shop inspection process and procedures
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings, to provide guidance to cross functional teams.
  • Understanding of Aerospace Quality requirements
