Job Description

This position is an in-office role.


The Quality Process Specialist under the guidance of the Vice President of Quality and Performance Improvement, will be responsible for conducting corporate wide internal audit checks.


You will monitor, inspect, and propose measures to correct or improve current quality standards (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) to align with the company's overall strategy.


Ensure accurate and timely review of documents, records, and procedures to recommend regulatory compliance organization wide.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree and Quality Systems experience preferred
  • 5 years experience in Auditing and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, communication and presentation skills required
  • Ability to analyze, track, trend and interpret data
  • Professional knowledge of continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes
  • Previous experience working with regulatory agencies, including CMS, required. Previous human management experience.


Preferred:

Preferred experience in Healthcare setting. Preferred experience in Organ Procurement or Tissue Recovery setting. Preferred ASQ Quality Auditor Certification.



Responsibilities:


In collaboration with the Compliance Department and other members of the Executive Leadership team, the Quality Process Specialist establishes an annual audit schedule to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and LiveOnNY policies.


  • The responsibilities of the compliance auditor include enforcing compliance with internal regulations, recommending improvements to our internal control structure, and ensuring compliance with legal and federal regulations.


  • Identifies gaps and risk areas for audit creation, integration, and/or revision.


  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting of audit findings to departmental and organizational leadership.


  • Assess corrective action plan design to ensure use of a systemic solution approach directly addressing root cause and alignment with all applicable standards and regulations.


  • Collaborates with internal partners to troubleshoot and escalate barriers to audit scheduling, performance, documentation, and assessment.


  • Proactively identifies barriers to audit-driven corrective action development or implementation.


  • Identifies need for new policy development/changes to meet regulatory requirements.


  • Participates in External Audits as designated by departmental and organizational leadership; reviews External Audit results and subsequent corrective actions to suggest appropriate design of effectiveness assessments; schedules and conducts effectiveness assessments.


  • Proactively collaborates with Process Transformation and Innovation Specialist and Clinical QAPI department to establish policy-appropriate schedules and tasks for occurrence-driven audit development to improve processes and outcomes throughout Clinical Operations.


  • Participates in standardized data report-outs of audit findings, corrective actions, and effectiveness assessments in departmental and organizational meetings as directed.

Salary Range: $$95,000-$110,000
