The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for the following:


  • Prepares and provides automated project status updates/summaries to management/leadership using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Responsible for helping to create reports and project plans, utilizing Microsoft Office 365 apps and automation wherever possible.
  • Works closely with team members to establish plans and timelines to drive projects while maintaining and offering improvement strategies, efficiencies, and automation.
  • Provides guidance and expertise to project teams and continuous improvement oversight to team members by monitoring individual project plans.

What you’ll do:


  • Provides guidance and expertise to project teams and continuous improvement oversight to team members by monitoring individual project plans.
  • Responsible for assisting and monitoring Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) when barriers are noted and identifying automated solutions when possible.
  • Works closely with team members to establish plans and timelines to drive projects while maintaining and offering improvement strategies, efficiencies, and automation.
  • Must be able to work effectively with diverse audiences including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, administrators, and a wide variety of non-technical staff.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner under hectic and changing conditions. 
  • Ability to use knowledge of quality improvement models and methods (e.g. rapid cycle improvement, quality measurement and reporting, plan-do-study-act, DMAIC) to identify and suggest opportunities for automation.
  • Responsible for helping to create reports and project plans, utilizing Microsoft Office 365 apps and automation wherever possible.
  • Facilitates and participates in CQI activities, as related to each assigned project.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required, act as SME for automation opportunities, provides suggestions and works with team members to remove barriers to automation services.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Prepares and provides automated project status updates/summaries to management/leadership using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Offers mitigation plans and solutions when potential threats/risks are identified; adjusts project plan as appropriate and offers automated solutions, utilizing various Microsoft Applications.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, facilitation skills and a strong team ethic is a must; ability to support and influence a team environment. 
  • Ability to organize, synthesize and analyze large amounts of information and data and create project plans from the data.


What you’ll need:


Required Qualifications


  • 3-5 years of Quality Improvement experience, with an emphasis on project management
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Microsoft 365 Certification, strongly preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification required


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


  • Ability to organize, synthesize and analyze large amounts of information and data and create project plans from the data.
  • Ability to use knowledge of quality improvement models and methods (e.g. rapid cycle improvement, quality measurement and reporting, plan-do-study-act, DMAIC) to identify and suggest opportunities for automation. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner under hectic and changing conditions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required, act as SME for automation opportunities, provides suggestions and works with team members to remove barriers to automation services.


Experience


  • Minimum three years of Quality/Process Improvement experience, with an emphasis on project management in a health care setting.


Experience Using Microsoft Applications, Strongly Preferred.


Microsoft 365 Certification, preferred.
