Under the direction of the Director Quality & Patient Safety and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, responsible for collecting, displaying and monitoring clinical and patient care data for performance improvement/peer review. Provide accurate, reliable and useful information relative to performance improvement/peer review program, which supports the hospital quality improvement plan, the Patient Care Assessment Program, The Joint Commission, and any other state and federal agency.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to deal with multiple staff, departments, QI teams and external customers required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities required.
- Three years acute care clinical experience
- Demonstrated assertiveness and the ability to work with physicians required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing required. Current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
- One (1) to three (3) years clinical quality assurance/quality improvement experience preferred; previous peer review experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers, including data entry, word processing and spreadsheet applications required; MS Office Suite required.
