Job Purpose

Supervise Quality Control personnel to drive the quality leading KPIs improvement and to ensure Product Quality and customer satisfaction.
Manages the processes and team to ensure that the products delivered to the customer meet the agreed quality standards. Maintains and deploys the ALPS Quality Management System, assesses its adequacy and proactively improves it. Conducts internal audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the processes related to the raw materials and final batch testing of all relevant products by using standard (quality) procedures to meet specifications.
  • Generates quality information by preparing required reports and maintaining relevant records.
  • Ensures that technical information is maintained and verification / calibration procedures are in place
  • Promotes the quality system within the team, adhering to the elements and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual and procedures
  • Supports in the process to maintain quality certifications (e.g. ISO).
  • Ensures retained sample control and administration including related document collection, filing and disposal.
  • Provides assistance, gives advice and distributes information to customers, suppliers, sales and internal departments related to product quality.
  • Coordinates all QC resources to ensure internal and external customer needs are met.
  • Is familiar and complies with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards.
  • Ensures processes and standards are in place, and followed by QC employees to ensure the number of batch adjustments/hits are kept to an optimal level. Manages the escalation process if RFT and adjustments/hits go beyond a certain level.
  • Actively deploys ALPS foundations and ALPS Quality Management primary processes, with high priority. Promotes the quality philosophy throughout the organization by setting a positive example and positively participating in cross-functional problem solving activities.
  • Maintains quality equipment by monitoring performance, calibration and conducting preventive maintenance.
  • Ensures that all manufacturing employees are thoroughly familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and are trained in the appropriate procedures.
  • Promotes, develops and implements quality assurance procedures and systems to improve and maintain quality within manufacturing
  • Supports customer audits and internal audits, and ensure team works to the (e.g. ISO) implement quality standards and systems.
  • Liaises with RD&I to ensure New Product Introduction procedures are followed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four –year college or university is required or 5+ years of production/manufacturing/quality experience
  • Supervisor skills 3+ years
  • Knowledge of quality assurance lab activities and procedures, technical knowledge of coatings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Sharepoint, and SAP

Rewards & Benefits

Salary range for this role is: $65,000 to $75,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
