Job Description

Ascendant is recruiting qualified candidates for a Quality Control (QC) Manager to support Federal construction programs in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Contractor Quality Control (CQC) plans for design and construction operations, both onsite and offsite, including work by our construction craft, vendors, subcontractors, and design partners
  • Review estimating, procurement, and project management activities as needed
  • Prepare submittals, conduct inspections, and support recurring meetings with our customers
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
  • Provide proactive construction quality control management on bid/build and design/build projects in support of our U.S. Government clients

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor building construction and/or major renovations
  • Familiarity with USACE Construction Quality Management program
  • Experience in Safety Management is a plus
  • Team player that works well with project teams and clients to ensure quality results
  • Strong interpersonal skills and both oral and written communication skills
  • Federal construction experience is a plus
