Job Description
ProducePay seeks a Quality Control Inspector to ensure all fresh produce shipped to our domestic and foreign clients meet our rigorous quality standards. In this role, you will make a crucial contribution to our company's mission to provide high-quality produce in a timely and efficient manner. As a new tech-based cash flow solution provider, ProducePay has carved out a unique niche in the lucrative and growing fresh produce industry, which necessitates the hiring of experienced professionals that are committed to maintaining the company's reputation for excellence.


Responsibilities


  • Transport produce samples to a laboratory for testing as needed
  • Follow company policies and procedures as well as external regulations related to the quality of fresh produce
  • Verify and maintain proper retention of documents
  • Operate equipment and materials accurately and safely in accordance with safety and operational guidelines
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to meet productivity, accuracy, and efficiency goals
  • Develop and maintain quality reports to track and document findings
  • Inspect all produce to ensure it meets established quality standards before shipment


Requirements


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of fresh produce handling, packing, and shipping
  • Ability to maintain detailed and organized records
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Quality Control or similar role
  • Ability to use a variety of testing equipment and techniques
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
