Quality Auditor Jobs

JOB PURPOSE: Inspects components and products by verifying that all quality standards are met. Responsible for the inspection, measurement and testing of machined, fabricated, formed parts, and finished goods at various stages of production through final assembly.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

• Assists machine operators in correcting deviations from specifications during run processes
• Eliminates waste by following practices involved with the Lean Manufacturing Process
• Interprets and completes quality assurance documentation
• Maintains up to date, orderly, and correct documentation of prints/specifications, checklists, reject/scrap parts, and other quality related events and activities
• Maintains and follows all quality procedures and guidelines
• Visually and functionally inspects assembly processes and finished products to verify products meet required specifications
• Assists production lines with questions regarding cosmetic, dimensional, and product functionality issues
• Makes decisions regarding appropriate levels of quality in a timely manner
• May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require
• Communicates defective material/product issues to supervisor, line leadership, and peers; and quarantines rejected material/product as appropriate
• Cleans work area and equipment by sweeping and dusting on, around, and under machines

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Ability to properly use precision measurement equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and to perform basic math computations
• Ability to move refrigeration units frequently throughout shift
• Ability to write legibly and accurately complete appropriate quality assurance documentation
• Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
• Computer skills that include Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
• Ability to comprehend written production orders and/or verbal instruction
• Responsible, dependable, detail-oriented and professional
