Quality Assurance Tester - Advanced (Hybrid)

DPP is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for an opportunity in Clemson, SC.

Summary

• The QA Tester will join the Mainframe Quality Assurance team, consisting of the client’s information technology professionals and other experienced consultants. The environment is strongly collaborative and flexible.
• This role is a QA Tester position.
• The Quality Assurance Tester will provide QA for MEDS, MMIS, MMRS, and RMMIS systems projects.
• Work arrangement: Up to 75% remote. This is a W2 position.

Project scope:

• This project requires interfacing with other partners and other internal systems.
• Testing of changes will include testing with the users and external healthcare providers and trading partners as needed.
• This project includes making federally mandated changes for the Medicaid system of SC.
• This position will perform quality assurance (QA) requirements and support user acceptance (UA) testing of software coding changes to Medicaid systems related data.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with project team to test coding changes.
• Communicate effectively in both written and spoken communication.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s staff and other contracted staff.
• Duties include creation of test scenarios, running of tests, analysis of test results, resolutions of differences in actual and expected test results and working with partner organizations to support user acceptance testing.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Mainframe
• MVS COBOL
• Software testing
• JCL
• Creation of test scenarios

Soft skills required:

• Effective communication skills (written and oral), adaptability, flexibility, self-motivation, problem solving, analytical thinking, time management, ability to work effectively in a stressful environment

Preferred KSAs:

• Use of testing tools
• SQL
• Serena ChangeMan or other change control tools
• CA-ADS

Education and work experience:

• High school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance testing
