FEFA LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support a research facility's operations and maintenance in Raleigh, NC.
General work hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday unless otherwise directed.
Employees are expected to be familiar with the day-to-day activities, personnel, and daily schedules within the facilities. We are looking for individuals who are forward-thinking and to create and assist in quality contract performance. The Quality Assurance Technicianwill maintain an effective, positive, and professional relationship with both contract and government staff.
Primary Duties:
- Maintains SDS logs
- Provides Quality Assurance inspections of the animal facility ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and policies.
- Establishes new SOPs as directed by the COR, the veterinarian, and/or contract management.
- Assists with waste collection, water sample collection and other sample collection as needed.
- Reports weekly SOP status to management.
- Provides review and revisions to project SOP’s.
- Provides a written monthly Quality Assurance Report to management.
- Maintains all training records, logs, and certificates.
- Works closely with project and corporate management to ensure full regulatory and contract compliance.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Continuing education in the field of laboratory animal regulatory, and/or veterinary technology/general veterinary medicine is supported
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have 5 years of experience in the laboratory animal field
- Must be US Citizen and ability to obtain a clearance
- Must hold an ALAT certification at the LAT or be eligible to take the exam at the time of hire
- Associates of Arts Degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience.
