Job Overview/Summary:

The Quality Assurance Coordinator leads program compliance and data tracking efforts for the Baltimore office, serving as a trusted compliance resource for colleagues. Primary areas of responsibility involve advising program teams, carrying out quality assurance activities, managing programmatic reporting deadlines, leading external audit efforts, and supporting general compliance for Silver Spring office. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will work closely with colleagues to ensure staff are well equipped to provide compliant and quality services. This position reports to the Deputy Director.


Responsibilities:


Grant & Policy Compliance

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Track and coordinate the satisfaction of compliance deadlines, requirements, and regulation implementation with deputy director and development team.
  • Work with deputy director to collect feedback from clients to inform and improve quality of services.
  • Partner with development team and program staff to develop, implement and track compliance with a quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocol for each grant.
  • Support program monitoring/audit preparation efforts.
  • Review grant and contract agreements prior to execution to certify programmatic data collection methods will ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Update all quality assurance efforts in accordance with IRC HQ and external donor compliance updates.
  • Provide analysis, evaluation and oversight to support compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies.
  • Develop and advise program staff in the implementation of SMART tracking tools, ensuring that outputs/outcomes are reliably and accurately measured and reported in compliance with grant requirements & outcomes.
  • Attend grant opening meetings, HQ programmatic updates meetings, and external donor compliance trainings.
  • Ensure IRC staff are trained and accurately use relevant databases including IRC’s Efforts to Outcomes as well as Maryland Office of Refugee and Asylee’s (MORA) database MD Think.
  • Establish quality assurance systems for all grants and program areas and create tracking tools as needed.


Job requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, and proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities/projects under pressure
  • Good research, data management, and statistical analysis skills.
  • 1-2 years of related experience required, with a demonstrated record of success in supporting program and policy compliance and assisting with audit preparation preferred.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as it relates to sensitive client data.
  • Experience with working with refugees and other humanitarian immigrants is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills are required - especially Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in business administration, international affairs/policy management, non-profit management, finance and accounting, or related.
  • Experience with IRIS and ETO is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Proven ability to work as a team member in a cross-cultural environment

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement.
