The Opportunity
Reporting to the Corporate Director, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, the role of the Quality Assurance Coordinator is:

• Coordinate the annual reassessment of the Food Safety Plan and SQF systems;
• Plan and ensure the implementation of the verification instruction;
• Act as the SQF Practitioner and PCQI for the Salt Lake City plant;
• Prepare, manage and maintain the complete documentation regarding the Food Safety Plan & SQF program;
• Comply with company policies / instructions related to the quality system in place (Food Safety Plan / SQF);
• Ensure follow-up of nonconformity/complaints (corrective measures, causes of gaps, preventive measures);
• Know and enforce the BPH (Good Hygiene Practices) / GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the industry;
• Lead Food Safety Plan & SQF audits and participate in customer audits;
• Ensure personnel’s training needs to allow them to accomplish their tasks according to the safe and quality food standards;
• Support, when needed, the Quality Control Technician and participate in solving quality related issues;
• Carry out surveillances and inspections to ensure the implementation of quality instructions;
• Validate the mock recall efficiency and put improvements in place, if required
• Prepare and participate to Food Safety Plan / SQF meetings and Management Reviews;

The Skills You Will Bring To The Team

• Aromatic knowledge is considered an asset;
• Have already participated in the implementation of GFSI standards;
• Bachelor’s Degree in food technology,food science, dietetics or any other relevant field OR 3-5 years of pertinent experience
• Knowledge of good manufacturing and hygiene practices;
• Experience with SQF standards;
• Knowledge of HACCP standards;
• Recognized training of the principles to develop a Food Safety Plan;
