Job Summary

Conducts testing on software, websites, and other technical products to identify and resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues. Supports the day-to-day operations of the quality analyst team by providing testing SAP applications. Works with business process owners, and product team members to test complex user issues. Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and executes thorough operational, configuration, or defined development change request test plans and checklists to ensure that business system changes are working properly, existing processes remain unaffected, and the needs of the users are met.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Generates, maintains, and stores QA artifacts like (test scripts, test plans, reports, etc.) efficiently.
  • Works with the Automation team to ensure the regression test suite is maintained as development changes occur.
  • Execute Test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
  • Collaborates with QA engineers and team leads to develop effective strategies and Test Plans
  • Works with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Writes and executes test scripts using X-ray for the Jira tool
  • Works with a variety of SAP product teams like SD, MM, LE, etc., and performs testing to support weekly transports for the teams.
  • Reviews business requirements/user stories/use cases
  • Works as part of the IT QA & Support team to determine how technology can best be used to enable or enhance our integrated business processes.
  • Use testing tools, QA processes, and techniques to validate the system.
  • Takes full ownership of testing and test processes that includes signing off on each release.
  • Provide estimations for testing efforts.
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing/regression testing.
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Creates, executes, and modifies test scripts/test cases in Xray/Jira

Non-essential Functions

  • Provides guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Performs off-hours support as needed.
  • Maintains the service desk application’s Knowledge Base articles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
  • Creates, contributes, and/or facilitates ongoing training for application functionality / best practice/lunch and learn topic-related training in correlation with job duties.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts, business processes, and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English required.
  • Four-year STEM degree or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., X-ray, Jira, Zephyr, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of wPC, Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint), Internet, and Outlook.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum Framework
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
