Hours: Mon-Fri 8a-4p flex (40hrs)

As a QIDP, you are an advocate for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities living in a group home setting. You coordinate and oversee the Individual Support Plans (ISP), provide leadership and training to Direct Support Professionals (DSP) working in your assigned group homes, and empower the people you support to live the life they want to live through person-centered thinking and planning. You will also create appropriate Behavior Management Plans (BMP) when needed and work with Human Rights Committee (HRC) for approvals as required by regulation. QIDPs also plan and set annual case conferences and quarterly meetings and monitor how progress on goals is going. To have a better understanding of the support needs QIDPs work on a flexible schedule to provide direct care alongside DSPs to be mentors and educators to the people they support and to staff implementing their plans.

Requirements:
  • Positive attitude and team player who welcomes collaborative decision-making.
  • Ability to interpret or learn to interpret financials.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, if needed.
  • Proven team management skills.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the Human Service field.
  • Crisis prevention, intervention, and teaching skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
  • Goal driven.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a developmental human service or therapy field.
