QA / QC Continual Improvement Director
The Director of Quality Assurance / Quality Control, is responsible for ensuring an overall compliant guidance/expectations and ongoing industry standards as they evolve respectively and have oversight to the Compliance and Process Improvement. This position is also responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of continuous process improvement actions/activities within the APS Platform IG’s. The position requires considerable initiative, judgment, and a relevant skill set to identify and develop necessary improvements to be implemented and to make recommendations for corrective actions as necessary, This position works very closely with both the IG management & leadership TEAM’s, QC Operations, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs to develop and maintain a holistic program of continuous improvement as well as compliance that assures the QC / QA programs meets and or exceeds service deliver expectations along with and all industry standards.
- Will focus on ensuring compliance and creating, supporting, and overseeing the continuous improvement efforts tied to critical Quality Control processes and procedures.
- Supports the IG TEAM leads during inspections and audits.
- Evaluates QC process for overall compliance relative to Service level agreements & associated KPI compliance and areas for improvement.
- Assess QC processes using process mapping, data analysis, and other tools to identify improvement opportunities.
- Inputs to long-term planning of QC capabilities and capacity focusing on compliance and would be integrally involved in any implementation of new technologies/process improvements.
- Evaluates QC documentation for compliance and possible ways to improve as appropriate.
- Inputs into the QC program for defining additional systems, materials, or equipment that would improve the overall service delivery for process and improvements.
- Essential Functions
- Manage and control all quality control activities in accordance with identified quality assurance standards, company procedures, customer specifications and contract requirements.
- Support the development of quality goals and targets as part of the organization’s strategic plan
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality processes
- Support project start-ups and closeouts as needed, including regularly traveling to the field to support project initiatives and backfill project leadership, as necessary
- Serves as the APS Platform Representative to ensure the processes needed for the quality management programs are established, implemented, and maintained; and acts as the liaison to external bodies/agencies for the purposes of achieving and maintaining certifications.
- Support business development efforts from capture phase through live solicitation, which includes participating in pipeline discussions to determine bids to pursue
- Serve as technical writer or contributor for live bids including developing and writing the technical approach for proposals
- Lead or contribute to project reporting including quarterly progress reports and annual reports
- Ensure all physical resources are maintained, stored and organized to allow efficient and effective operation.
- Lead or contribute to proposal development, including technical approach, staffing, and partnering strategies and negotiations, and decisions on information gathering trips, and oversee cost development
- Continuously review quality processes, procedures and capabilities in order to sustain the most cost- effective and efficient methods for meeting quality requirements, and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS)
8-10 years management experience
Strong technical, communication, and oversight skills required to perform this function within the QC function spanning a group of technical professionals and sub-functions including analytical Operations associated with Facility Operations & Maintenance.
- Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Superior time management skills, with ability to successfully manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
