Do you have an interest in Quality Controls where you can develop your technical and analytic skills? If so, this is the role for you.

As Quality Control Direct Staff Member, you will ensure that the QC testing of all products is performed to GMP and company standards. This involves analytical/microbiological testing (as applicable), analyzing samples, recording, evaluating and reporting data using prescribed procedures with limited or no supervision.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Interpret validity of own test data and generate accurate results.
  • Evaluate data generated by others in the analytical group.
  • Advise immediate supervisor or designee of all important aspects of analytical testing including deviations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
  • Understand data integration and calculation of results.
  • Generate valid data at expected levels of productivity while adhering to cGMP.
  • Accurately document analytical data and review official laboratory documents (e.g., SOP’s, Technical reports, Methods, and specifications).
  • Assist in training other laboratory personnel on methods, instrumentation and computer systems.
  • Participate in interdepartmental project teams or committees.
  • Conduct routine analytical testing of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products and environmental samples using approved methods and various instrumentation, (e.g., HPLC, Vitek, GC, UV, Microscope, Gram Stainer, and Robotics) while adhering to cGMP and established policy.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Associate degree or High School + 2 years pharmaceutical experience in Chemistry or Biology or a related physical science.
  • Developing knowledge and application of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Understanding of laboratory practices and testing.
  • Experience of providing QC testing support to at least one value stream.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Maintain appropriate documentation of training activities.
  • Understanding of laboratory practices and testing.
  • Full understanding of the requirements and application of GMP principles in a laboratory environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication on an individual and group basis targeted to appropriately audiences of several levels within GMS.
  • Operational knowledge of analytical chemistry/microbiology (as applicable) laboratory equipment, raising up concerns or issues to ensure diagnosis of problems and identify appropriate actions.
  • Supports other teams when required.
  • Developing knowledge and application of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Experience of providing QC testing support to at least one value stream.
  • Problem solving skills.
