The Opportunity
This position will perform all aspects of quality control in a nutritional premix facility. As a QC Chemist you will review, author and develop quality processes as they relate to the analytical laboratory and quality control. This permanent, full-time position will report to the Laboratory Manager and is fully onsite. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Testing of all incoming materials and finished blends. Instrumentation includes HPLC, LC/MS, FT-IR, UV/VIS, ICPMS, Titration, particle size analyzer and others as needed
Perform out of specification investigation process including corrective actions.
Perform deficient materials review and ensure materials are investigated and dispositioned in a timely manner.
Comply with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates. (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
The Skills you will bring to the team
BS Food Science, chemistry or related degree.
One to three years related lab experience and/or combination of related coursework and experience.
Proficiency in MS Work, Excel, Outlook
Independent, proactive, extremely detail oriented, dependable, organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
Fluent in written and spoken English
Ability to communicate, work cross-functionally and problem solve.
