Job Description

Qualifications and Detail about the Position

Summary:


The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for verifying that the customer’s requirements and job specifications are adequately defined to craft supervision, quality records are documented, understood, and finished work meets compliance. The QA/QC Inspector is tasked with ensuring the implementation and adherence to Brock’s Quality Program.

Responsibilities:


  • In Insulation, Fireproofing or Steam Tracing, has 8 years’ experience in the industry as a supervisor and QC Inspector
  • Must have transportation to and from the work location
  • Must be able to work in all types of environments, extreme heat or cold
  • Use a computer to compile and submit daily reports, inspection reports, and inter‐office communications
  • Able to effectively communicate with other employees and supervision
  • Travel as required
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, such as blueprints, to determine requirements Education & Experience:
  • 4+ years’ experience in craft and / or
  • Ensures that all Brock, Client, & OSHA safety policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
  • Necessary Personal Protective Equipment is required

  • The QA/QC Inspector has the authority to stop work if a condition or situation is found to exist that would compromise the quality of the service or product being furnished by the company.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment Skills & Abilities:
  • The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for evaluating nonconforming items to recommend disposition (use as is or repair) to the Project Manager and Company Quality Manager/Lead.
  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project.
  • In Scaffolding, has completed Competent Person training through an industry recognized association such as NCCER or SAIA, or Brock internal training program
  • Work in an indoor and outdoor environment including field, yard, shop locations, and office
  • Provide for controls, testing and documentation of material application/installation by the company, and ensure compliance with published QA/QC policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Properly interpret regulations, codes and industry standards.
  • The QA/QC Inspector will discuss results and findings with the site management team and recommend any required corrective actions.
  • The QA/QC Inspector reviews work for compliance with procedures and signs off on Quality Control inspections.
  • Meet Brock’s Fit for Duty Program
  • 2+ years’ supervisory / leadership experience, preferred
  • Must have required tools
  • A keen attention to detail in order to detect defects that could be easily missed by the consumer but still present a safety risk, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively when reporting issues and defects.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
