BlueTriton Brands is seeking applicants for the Quality Assurance Intern position in our Zephyrhills, Florida manufacturing facility.
This position will be a temporary assignment, the expected duration is 3 months.
Pay: $23.00 / hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, 1st Shift
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Management of microbiology laboratory tasks including plating, reading results, and reporting out on results
Management of daily sensory panel set-up and reporting
Assisting QA Techs in product monitoring tasks and basic laboratory duties
Production and downtime tracking, analyzing data as needed
Working effectively with peers as a team to support Quality goals
Supporting projects as needed
Comply with plant sanitation standards and keep work area clean
Supports continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure the safety of self and others during all work activities Qualifications
Key qualifications include
College level education desired, relevant pursuit of study in biology or biochemistry
Prior experience performing basic laboratory procedures
Exposure to Quality Assurance or Production in a food or beverage processing facility
Ability to work self-directed and with a team
Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team-based environment
Ability to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work
Understanding of good lab practices and good manufacturing practices
Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications
Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
