Botanic Tonics Company Summary


We've created a feel-good wellness tonic of kava and other ancient plants from the South Pacific and Southeast Asia where they've been used socially and in wellness for centuries. A new way to feel good and feel free.


This fast-growing wellness company is looking to maintain compliance with all necessary regulatory guidance and needs and strong and passionate individual to join the Quality Unit.


Position Summary


As a member of the Quality Unit, the Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations. This will include maintaining and controlling documentation (SOPs, WIs, training logs), assigning document generation to necessary personnel, and reviewing and signing off on all documentation. This position requires a hard-working and knowledgeable individual who can operate well in a fast-paced environment and has a desire to be essential in development of a QMS system for a beverage/dietary supplement company.


Key Responsibilities


  • Writing and revising current SOPs, product specifications, etc
  • Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Signing off on final product for release
  • Reviewing all GMP documentation including batch records, SOPs, Spec Sheets, Protocols, and reports
  • Supporting customer and regulatory audits. Responding to any observations
  • Working with HR to ensure OSHA and safety requirements are being met
  • Documenting QA activities and creating audit reports. Auditing production, R&D, and QC for compliance
  • Implementing change control, deviation, and CAPA systems
  • Ensuring cGMP and CFR compliance


Minimum Qualifications


  • Experience in GMP manufacturing, QA/QC
  • Experience with 21 CFR 111, ICH Q7
  • Degree in Science related field (preferred)
  • Ability and experience working with regulatory agencies
  • Strong technical writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Minimum of 3 years in QA position


Preferred Qualifications


  • 3-5 years in Quality Assurance in food/beverage/supplement industry desired.


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Excellent communication skills are required (written and verbal)
  • Understanding of FDA dietary supplement regulations and labeling policies
  • Ability to organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization; must be able to clearly articulate technical information to a non-technical audience both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to build professional relationships with cross functional teams while facilitating a collaborative environment both internally and externally
