Responsibilities

  • Properly use hold codes in ERP system to identify materials that have been sampled
  • Communicate with other departments regarding inquiries of material testing status
  • Ability to accurately collect samples based on aseptic sampling techniques
  • Clean testing equipment as required
  • Input sampling data electronically into ERP system and properly label samples
  • Maintain records of inspection, sampling and testing of incoming materials
  • Perform physical testing of materials, including density, particle size determination, moisture, compaction, solubility, viscosity, water activity, organoleptic evaluation (aroma, color, texture, flavor), etc.
  • Identification and communication of non-conforming materials
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and laboratories
  • Identify discrepancies with incoming materials when compared to product specifications and approved supplier documentation
  • Inspect, sample and evaluate all incoming materials, include raw materials, packaging components, bulk product and finished goods

Qualifications

  • General knowledge of cGMP for Dietary Supplements
  • Understanding of aseptic sampling techniques
  • General knowledge of Logistics Receiving, QA Receiving and QA Release procedures
  • Ability to proficiently operate computer including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and ERP system
  • Ability to read and interpret technically written procedures and instructions
  • College education a plus
  • Good organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • High School education or equivalent required
  • Able to lift at least 55 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Good math skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Work experience in technical field preferred
