Want to work with a cohesive team with a mission to improve the health of Idahoans within the Division of Behavioral Health? We are looking for two (2) Program Research & Development Analysts to work with the Quality Management Improvement and Accountability Team. One position will be full time and the other part time. These positions are statewide and are eligible for telework.


Individuals in this role will be responsible for Quality Management Improvement and Accountability (QMIA) including development, implementation, education, data collection, and analysis of quality performance measures. These positions will support the QMIA mission to develop and use meaningful quality measures focused on prioritized areas to evaluate behavioral healthcare and develop quality improvement projects based on continuous quality improvement that drive changes in delivery of quality behavioral healthcare throughout the state of Idaho.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
  • Supports the development of the QMIA framework for continuous quality improvement.
  • Plans and implements methods to assess the implementation of best practice interventions and identify training needs.
  • Assists in educating staff and leadership as well as other internal and external groups.
  • Assists QMIA Director to plan, design, implement and maintain a comprehensive behavioral health quality improvement initiative.
  • Works cooperatively with DBH and other internal and external groups to identify QI issues, and to recommend, support and implement quality improvement strategies to improve services and operations.
  • Identifies and implements educational programs and strategies.


Minimum Qualifications


You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position.
  • Good knowledge of health care and/or human service systems. Typically requires completion of college courses covering health and human services such as nursing, medicine, medical social work, psychology, developmental disabilities, public health administration, and health education PLUS three years of experience working as a professional in a health care or human service system.
  • Experience analyzing cost effectiveness of health care/human services delivery. Typically requires at least one year of professional experience in the above areas in the health insurance industry, Medicaid, healthcare delivery, health or social services, or related fields.
  • Experience researching, planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating a health care and/or human service-related program. Typically requires at least one year of professional experience in the above areas in the health insurance industry, Medicaid, healthcare delivery, health or social services, or related fields.
  • Experience interpreting and applying laws and regulations. Typically requires at least one year of experience where job responsibilities included interpretation of laws or regulations and explaining to customers how these laws or regulations are interpreted and applied.
