Job Title- QA Automation Engineer

Type: 12+ Months Contract

Location- Remote (Expecting the candidate to support during PST time zone)

Pay Rate $60-$65/hr. on W2

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be required to analyze several applications and design automated tests to validate their functionality. You will create and manage a modular testing framework that allows for simple test creation and integration into existing pipelines. You will collaborate closely with the development team to understand the platform as a whole and call out additions that would improve the framework. The applications are web-based, written in JavaScript, and so a framework that matches this is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Create a modular test automation framework that allows for effortless future expansion
• Identify and create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and cases
• Integrate with existing CICD pipelines
• Ability to understand what is being tested, not just writing tests to hit the coverage requirement
• Work with development team to determine gaps and report bugs

Requirements:

• Tech experience and preferably in video streaming if at all possible.
• Worked in various team size.
• Strong programming experience, preferably in JavaScript, with experience in current testing frameworks, e.g., Playwright, Cypress etc.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years experience in both automated and manual software testing methodologies
• Experience working in an agile development process
• Great communication skills.
• Automation experience in setup of framework (modern frameworks).
• Solid framework design skills
• Javascript/Typescript experience.
• Self-managed, proactive work style - able to work independently
• Familiarity with CICD pipelines
