You Are:

A hands-on transformational senior engineering leader that will help build and grow a QA organization from good to great by building, leading, and managing a functional QA team across multiple geographical locations.

The Opportunity :

• Defect re-open rate/injection rates
• Establish quality metrics including:
  • Orthogonal Defect Classification: RCA and Continuous Improvement
  • Defects Density: Defects per 100 lines of code
  • Defect re-open rate/injection rates
• Increase customer interaction/demos (travel to client sites) and incorporate feedback into the integrated test plan/approach
• Perform risk analysis on the various components of the system to determine how to use testing resources most effectively.
• Orthogonal Defect Classification: RCA and Continuous Improvement
• Write detailed test strategies and plans, making full use of different test estimation techniques in assessing the best balance of coverage and efficiency for a project.
• Develop and drive integrated test plan and all QA planning activities
• Establish an Automation first mindset (Continuous Integration)
• Establish acceptance criteria between QA and Dev and subsequently clients to ensure high-quality code deliveries
• Be able to design and manage automated test approaches for projects and ensure that manual tests are automated using suitable tools and frameworks for the product.
• Develop technical training for Advantasure staff and customers.
• Develop, execute, and analyze the output from scripts that capture application and platform quality metrics.
• Review and approve the Integration Test Plan and Procedures produced by the product Quality Solution Expert/QE Lead.
• Defects Density: Defects per 100 lines of code
• Manage the validation test phase including executing scripts, monitoring testers, logging and tracking problems found, and regression testing any changes made to the system.

What you need:

• HTML 5-based UX design (exposure to JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS highly desired)
• Relational database design, Selenium, or similar automated technologies
• Apache or IIS web server platforms
• OOAD and n-tier architectures (exposure to MVC/MVP/MVVM design patterns highly desired)
• Web Services (SOAP or REST based)
• Understanding and experience with the platform and operating system architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or relevant years of experience
• Test automation experience or expertise in building any scripting languages would be required.
• At least 10 years of Quality Assurance and/or relevant quality leadership experience
• SELENIUM / QTP knowledge
• C/C++, C#, .net, oracle and SQL server, SaaS, AZURE
• Exposure to one or more of the following technologies:
  • OOAD and n-tier architectures (exposure to MVC/MVP/MVVM design patterns highly desired)
  • HTML 5-based UX design (exposure to JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS highly desired)
  • ASP.NET (exposure to user controls, custom controls, and ASP.Net AJAX highly desired)
  • Web Services (SOAP or REST based)
  • Relational database design, Selenium, or similar automated technologies
  • Apache or IIS web server platforms
  • C/C++, C#, .net, oracle and SQL server, SaaS, AZURE
• Experience in working with Test Management and Defect Management Tools.
• ASP.NET (exposure to user controls, custom controls, and ASP.Net AJAX highly desired)
• Familiarity with SDLC w.r.t process maturity, audit, governance, and control systems to enable zero UAT / Production defects.

Bonus points if:

• You have HealthCare experience and knowledge – Billing/Claims/Enrollments experience is highly recommended
• You have Client Facing experience in sharing RCA, Integrated Test Plans and incorporating client feedback
• You have the ability to bring order and discipline from chaos
• You have Development / Java / .NET experience
• You have your MBA
• You have the ability to think outside the box / “manage discipline within the grey” when called upon

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City, or Washington as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $116,000-$174,000
