Job Description

We are searching for a QA Analyst I to join our team. In this position you will be part of the product development process, testing our hardware and software products. You will track hardware and software bugs, while verifying fixes as implemented, from project start to release.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with other Test Leads on large projects, works solo on smaller projects
  • Interfacing with Beta testers and gathering info to reproduce issues reported by them
  • Assists maintenance of Top Issue Logs
  • Participates in bug reviews
  • Authors Knowledge Base articles as required
  • Supports holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and software releases, including integration, system, regression, performance, and user-acceptance testing
  • Understands software build server methodology and operation
  • Anticipates possible problems and creates solutions to solve them
  • Provides analysis used to make go/no-go recommendations for production releases
  • Works with QA Manager to create test schedules and plan resources accordingly
  • Assists verifying and validating error reports from Tech Support

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with at least three, or high-level knowledge of at least one of the following MI applications: Studio One, Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Cubase, etc.
  • Works well in team-based environments as well as independently with little to no supervision
  • Knowledge of Audio Recording, Live Sound, Mixing, Analog and Digital Consoles, Routing and Recording, DAW Systems, Sequencers, Plug-Ins, MIDI Specification, Keyboard MIDI Technology, and Guitar Effects Processors
  • Field or studio recording experience and/or related technical discipline
  • Experience installing/configuring Mac, PC, Linux, iOS, Android systems and applications
  • Possesses these personal attributes: self-motivated, organized, punctual, reliable, is a good verbal and written communicator, problem solver, professional, adaptable
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and audio over Ethernet standards

Nice to have:

  • Technical Support / Customer Service Experience
  • Executing and coordinating integration, system, regression, and user-acceptance testing
  • Experience testing applications built in Angular web application framework
  • Scripting/Coding in C, Lua, Ruby, Java, etc.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience performing API testing
  • Experience using Confluence Team Collaboration or knowledge of how to work with a wiki Experience with SDLC (software development life cycle)
  • Mixing/Mastering in a Production Environment
  • Knowledge of Google Docs, MS Office, Word, Excel, or similar applications
  • Works on concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints
  • Experience using Jira Issue & Project Tracking Software
  • Familiarity with command line interfaces
  • Experience with formal test tools and common software quality test tools
