Job Description

Quant Driven Hedge Fund

USD 350K - 550K USD TOTAL YEAR 1

Python


Our client, a Quant Driven Hedge Fund is looking to add a Python Developer responsible for helping develop the teams trading infrastructure along with working alongside the PM's to build custom tooling to support their trading activities. This will be a front office trading role where you will work with senior stakeholders of the business and have the opportunity to design and create technology to help take the business to the next level and be rewarded substantially for it.


Responsibilities include:

  • Develop efficient, scalable data and research infrastructure.
  • Implement robust workflows for processing structured and unstructured financial datasets.
  • Aid in the development of new lines of business solutions using Python, Excel and SQL (Oracle / Postgres)
  • Support senior staff in designing and implementing complete solutions for our front office/risk systems.
  • Contribute to internal microservice-based infrastructure platform.
  • Provide support for in-house and 3rd party applications
  • Develop web-based tools for internal teams and users.


Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Familiarity with cloud networking a plus
  • Finance experience required, ideally at a systematic trading firm or at the electronic execution desk at a bank
  • Must be based in or around NYC
  • Strong engineering instincts and a deep understanding of Python language fundamentals (OOP and functional programming)
  • Highly experienced in Python.
