Position Summary & Responsibilities
The team member designated for this position works directly with the Kansas Educational System of Accreditation (KESA) and the School Design process. This position assists with the development, maintenance and execution of the continuous improvement process of the KESA for a region (or regions) of school districts. This position collaborates in the building of structures for KESA as well as support the alignment of design structures into the KESA process. This position’s assignment involves professional educational work and technical support of a specialized nature to school and district personnel for accreditation, design and other programs as they develop continuous improvement plans.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in an education-related field. Experience may be substituted for education as deemed relevant by the agency.

Preferred Skills and/or Qualifications

  • Shows initiative and demonstrates the ability to problem solve, provide quality customer service and possess effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated technical assistance experience with the ability to effectively participate in small and large group collaboration;
  • Knowledge of current educational trends, practices and requirements;
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in relevant degree field(s) as determined by the agency;
  • Flexible in work environment; and
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of common software programs and web-based systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Understanding of state accreditation systems and continual improvement model(s); and
  • Experience with the Kansans Can School Redesign project
