Job Description
THE POSITION

Are you interested in helping People Living with HIV live healthier lives? As a Public Health Program Administrator for the Bureau of Communicable Diseases, Division of HIV you are responsible for managing contracts associated with the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Part B program which funds care and treatment services for low-income people with HIV. The ideal applicants should possess good written and oral communication skills; have previous knowledge or experience in the delivery or prevention of HIV services; and experience in contractual management and program monitoring.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is responsible for monitoring seven regional grantees for program compliance, spending, providing technical assistance, evaluating performance, and developing policies and procedures. In addition, you will supervise two Public Health Program Administrator 2 positions. This position requires occasional overnight travel. The ideal applicants should possess good written and oral communication skills; have previous knowledge or experience in the delivery or prevention of HIV services; and experience in contractual management and program monitoring.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. Occasional attendance at meetings in the office may be required. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (commonwealth title); or
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
Other Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
