We are an bring their expertise to a range of Psychology and/or Human Services courses. You'll play a pivotal role in guiding students toward meeting their learning objectives and successfully completing their courses, aligning with our catalog guidelines. These positions are offered on a per-session basis.
Key Responsibilities
You will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Nurturing the growth of graduate and/or undergraduate students in your assigned course(s).
Crafting a well-structured class syllabus in accordance with School standards.
Creating engaging course materials like lectures, interactive discussions, and thought-provoking assignments.
Assessing students fairly, taking into account participation, in-class performance, assignments, and examinations.
Collaborating effectively with colleagues to refine course design, content, and overall curriculum.
Ensuring punctuality for all scheduled class sessions.
Making yourself available to students for personalized guidance and consultations.
Offering valuable insights to help students excel in their studies.
Remaining current and informed within your field of expertise.
Timely submission of final grades as per the designated deadline.
Minimum Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in the discipline or a related field.
An unwavering commitment to delivering excellent teaching experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly regarded:
A Doctorate in your field of expertise.
Previous teaching experience within higher education.
Physical Requirements
This position typically involves sedentary work, but may occasionally entail standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, climbing, reaching both high and low, walking, and balancing. The role demands sitting for extended periods, along with repetitive finger and wrist movements, clear verbal communication, effective hearing, and accurate near and far vision with depth perception and color recognition.
