Job Description

Summary of Work

Actual job duties may vary according to residency or licensure and experience.

  • Determine, develop, administer, monitor, evaluate, and modify treatment programs and plans to effect proper behavior adjustments.
  • Serve as a psychological consultant to social, educational, welfare, and other agencies on individual cases or treatment plans.
  • Review records and interview patients/clients and staff to evaluate and diagnose behaviors or disorders.
  • Compile data and prepare and present reports of psychological evaluation.
  • May supervise License Exempt Psychologists I, master's level social workers, master's level interns, and practicum students.
  • Provide case management services to patients/clients.
  • May train and direct other specialists and support personnel on a psychiatric unit.
  • Provide necessary documentation to insure effective follow-up treatment and progress.
  • Observe patients/clients in therapeutic activity.
  • Collaborate with other staff in developing treatment programs and plans.
  • Select, administer, score, interpret, and analyze results of psychological testing.
  • Provide clinical treatment recommendations.
  • Provide group and individual therapeutic services.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Doctorate degree in Psychology and eligibility for a supervised psychological residency or license as determined by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
