Provides individual, couple and group counseling to university students and their family members, with a specific focus on work with African-American and Black Student populations; provides diagnostic assessment; provides psychotherapeutic services to students regarding problems relating to stress, developmental issues, career, academics, interpersonal concerns, and other mental health issues; conducts and evaluates psychoeducational workshop programs; trains and supervises graduate students in psychology, social work, counselor education, or related fields; serves as a liaison and partner to the Hale Black Cultural Center and other student groups focused on the needs of African-American and Black Student populations ; may research student needs and develop and evaluate programs; participates in professional development and continuing education activities; consults with university personnel.
Minimum Education Required:
Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Ohio within 18 months of hire.
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology; licensure in the State of Ohio as a Psychologist within 18 months of hire; considerable clinical casework experience in therapy; demonstrated clinical experience working with African-American and Black Student populations; supervised internship or work equivalent experience in university counseling center, mental health agency, or related professional setting; experience providing psychotherapy, diagnostic assessment and outreach; demonstrated commitment to multiculturalism and diversity.
The starting pay for this position is $78,000.

Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, College of Medicine or OSUP Employees are not eligible for personal exemptions. All exemptions are subject to Ohio State’s approval and subject to change, including revocation, due to legal and regulatory requirements.
