Job Duties
No experience is necessary. All training is provided by experienced qualified staff.
This position provides care for children and adolescents who have behavioral and/or mental health issues.
The duties for this PCT position include:
- Supporting patients that are upset and/or aggressive using approved positive therapeutic techniques
- Planning and participating in group and individual activities with patients
- Supervising patients both in groups and 1:1 as directed by nursing and clinical staff
- Assisting assigned patients with activities of daily living such as eating and bathing, etc.
- Documenting changes in the patient’s behavior, vital signs, sleep pattern, food intake, hygiene, etc.
- Ensuring the safety and well being of patients at all times, including those that are aggressive and/or self-injurious
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background check, drug screen and reference check
Walking and/or standing for up to eight (8) hours or more
Bending, lifting, and ability to use Therapeutic Options techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
CNA License
Experience in a mental health setting.
Coursework or degree in human service field.
Demonstrated experience with children and/or adolescents.
Experience in a healthcare setting or related field.
Bilingual language skills.
