ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist Director and Manager of Promotions and Special Events with planning and execution of a minimum of one signature event and three theme nights.
Provide general event and game day support to the Director and Manager of Promotions and Special Events throughout the season
Book over 500 mascot (PAWS) appearances throughout the year. This includes managing all logistics and staffing for all paid and internal appearances.
Attend select events and appearances with PAWS to assist with various programming elements.
Responsible for all in-game PAWS appearance requests and bookings for all 81 home games.
Manage PAWS in-game package item inventory.
Develop and maintain payment systems to increase revenue and create contractual payment guidelines.
Actively generate and report revenue for the mascot program to help meet revenue goals.
Manage the budget allocated to the mascot program and submit annual requests pertaining to this area and capital expenses.
Manage the Mascot website and work with MLBAM to continuously update content on the website.
Assist marketing with Mascot social media platforms and create content for all social platforms.
Coordinate and schedule part-time performers to ensure all additional appearances are fulfilled and provide weekly updates to Director and Manager of Promotions and Special Events.
Assist with training & development of part-time alternate performers.
Assist with Development of Mascot handbook to assist with training and provide company objectives and guidelines to part-time performers.
Collaborate with the Promotions and Marketing teams to execute mascot activations for team-wide branding initiatives, digital and social media strategy, retail merchandising, media appearances and interviews, etc.
Create new special appearance packages to help increase revenue, build brand awareness, and target new markets for the mascot program.
Create and execute a school appearance educational program
Assist with the development and day to day operation of the Gen Z Ambassador program including all communication, event and meeting planning and budget oversight.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Creativity, dancing ability, and an ability to communicate through body language are extremely important, as is an outgoing & creative personality.
Candidate must have physical stamina to perform and remain on their feet for at least an hour at a time in all types of environments Indoor, outdoor, cold, hot.
In addition to weekdays, candidate must be available to work most weekends and holidays.
Previous administrative office work/customer service experience is preferred.
