- Develop project schedules and milestones.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
- Identify and prioritize critical tasks
- Participate in project and business development - conceptual designs, cost estimates, strategy, etc.
- Manage resources necessary to obtain all applicable permits
- Adjust and adapt to shifting priorities
- Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions
- Track, manage, and report project costs and progress
- Deliver projects on-time and on-budget
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations
- Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, safety, operational, and commercial objectives
- Review project plans, estimates, engineering activities for multiple construction projects ensuring that project objectives are accomplished within established perimeters.
- Control project costs by approving expenditures; reviewing bids from contractors
- Lead internal and external engineering, procurement, and construction resources
- Provide technical support for internal operations
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
- Willingness to participate in an employee-based safety program and contribute to a rich safety culture
- Work effectively in team and independent environments
- Experienced in the development of capital budgets, schedules, and work breakdown structures
- Safety focused with strong work ethic.
- Must be drug free and able to pass a criminal background check
- Strong problem solving, communication and negotiating experience
- Customer-centered philosophy and approach with a sense of urgency and flexibility for operational needs.
- Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Experience in the development of capital budgets, schedules, and work breakdown structures
- Minimum 5+ years of significant project management experience ($50K to $1M+)
- Familiarity with processes and operational practices of heavy industries such as material handling (grains/flour), milling, rail, transportation, structures, power, PLC, refineries, etc.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and interpreting drawings.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Agriculture, Construction Management or equivalent work experience required
- Requires up 75% travel typically only during the week.
- Site visits (industrial in nature and require walking, climbing, and other similar activities) are frequent
- Open to relocation as opportunities arise to support project and operational needs.
