Job Description

PATH is currently seeking a Project Specialist who will support ongoing global initiatives within CoDE. The project specialist will provide project management, communications, and administrative support to projects, supporting start-up of work streams and buy-ins; ongoing project management; alignment and coordination with donors; and tracking of progress against milestones. They will also coordinate inputs from global team members and consortium partners to achieve programmatic deliverables.



Responsibilities:

  • Guide deliverables through internal PATH review processes, ensuring review and sign-off by required PATH staff.
  • Liaise with project partner points of contact to gather and collate activity status updates. Support communication of challenges or delays to funder, in close collaboration with project director and program manager.
  • Partner with the project director and program manager to identify and proactively drive development of high-quality project deliverables, understand dependencies, and identify and track critical path items.
  • Facilitate and coordinate meetings and activities with external business partners, as well as internal global team members, including supporting event planning and procurement (e.g., securing a venue for a stakeholder consultation workshop).
  • Proactively monitor and document changes in project scope and monitor risk, including developing and implementing risk monitoring and mitigation strategies, in an evolving project environment.
  • Collaborate with the project team to maintain positive and productive relationships with project partners.
  • Develop and track detailed project plans including schedules, cost estimates, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans, and issue resolution plans.
  • Work with communications staff to develop communications materials, including donor reports, success stories, slide decks, and briefing documents.
  • Develop and maintain project management tools including RACIs, contact lists, organizational charts, etc.
  • Work with the business official and project administrator to track deliverables and maintain records (e.g., invoices, emails detailing change in scope or delays in implementation, etc.) in PATH and project systems (e.g., Salesforce, Business World, Box, Smartsheet, Redmine).
  • Ensure timely work plan updates and alignments across multiple partners and project management tools.



Required skills and experience:

  • Familiarity implementing large-scale global awards preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, including comfort using MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Project management certification not required, but a helpful bonus.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in French, Vietnamese, and/or Russian a helpful bonus.
  • Previous experience with US government–funded projects highly desirable.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a hands-on project management role working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability and comfort working effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Ability and comfort working effectively on fast-paced, complex projects.
  • Eye for editing, proofreading, and polishing final documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, international development, business administration, information systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge implementing project management systems and tools, such as Smartsheet, Redmine, and Notion, as well as project reporting and risk management tools highly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

We offer our employees a competitive salary and generous benefits. For candidates based in the U.S., the annual salary range for this position is $61,872 - $80,000. The final salary is based on a variety of objective factors. PATH provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes 15 vacation, 10 holiday, 2 personal and 12 sick days per year; medical and dental plans; life insurance; disability and retirement benefits.
