Coloscapes Concrete was started in 2004 with a vision to create a first-rate commercial concrete company with the capability of providing clients with a full-service concrete experience. We began tackling the entire concrete process including structural foundations, flatwork, and any components of site concrete. Over the years, we have created an installation team that can meet the needs of our clientele in terms of quality, cost, and schedule.


Since we started, we’re proud to have grown from a handful of employees to a company that can staff the most complicated construction projects. With our 75 + full-time staff, we complete top-notch projects in Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona.


What is your role? As the Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of construction projects by overseeing all phases of the project. This entails working with the team stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, operate within budget and monitor overall progress. Additionally, duties include working within the system to take-off materials, labor, and equipment to create project proposals.


This position will be instrumental in leading our company's growth in Arizona from groundbreaking stages. We are looking for a leader like you that can grow this division of our company's expansion throughout Arizona.


What are some of the essential job duties?


  • Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts
  • Join our AZ team that recognizes the commitment and supports your growth; that believes focus + grit + smarts = opportunity!
  • Other duties as assigned or needed
  • Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Maintain and grow relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Manage construction schedule and activities
  • Determine and define the scope of work and deliverables
  • Predict resources needed to complete the project
  • Draft and submit a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements
  • Manage costs in order to meet budget
  • Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner
  • Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites
  • Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
  • Coordinate efforts across the entire project between architects, designers, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors
  • Provide clear, detailed quantity take-offs
  • Analyze drawings and specifications
  • Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines


Desired Qualifications:


  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate and control costs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
  • Previous experience estimating and/or managing projects over $5 million
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Ability to understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other construction-related documents
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management/estimating, specifically within the general contracting or concrete industry
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture - Highly preferred
