Job Description
Position Overview: Responsible for developing and executing technical project solutions according to client defined project scope, specifications and guidelines. Ownership for turn-key project execution from concept development and cost estimating, through design, fabrication, installation and start-up. Project execution performance to be measured against customers expectations and business deliverables as defined by Tuttle Inc.


Primary Job Functions


  • Account for all work time not at Tuttle facility and manage all outside appointments by using the Tuttle Inc calendar. Clearly communicate own schedule at all times utilizing organizational tools provided by Tuttle Inc.
  • Cost estimating, proposal development and presentation of proposal to client
  • Financial accountability for project costs verses estimates, with profitability targets as assigned by Tuttle Inc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all projects meet or exceed safety requirements set forth by OSHA, other regulating bodies and the clients requirements
  • Delivers clear communication of project scope, objectives and deliverable in writing using the Tuttle project process to all Tuttle departments including: Engineering, Fabrication, and installation times.
  • Maintain Tuttle Inc supplied vehicle, keep it clean and presentable and responsible for arranging with the maintenance department for vehicle servicing.
  • Onsite project management as needed to facilitate project installations, including weekend and holiday time as required.
  • Project management for the turn key project execution including scheduling and managing internal and external resource requirements
  • Manage initial concept development and/or review of client defined solutions to ensure technical viability of delivering to client project defined scope
  • Provide a safe working environment for Tuttle employees, subcontractors and client associates
  • Develop and foster business relationships with clients, vendors and sub-contractors
  • Attend weekly schedule meetings and have information available to accurately represent active projects and bids in meeting.
  • Deliver project solutions to client expectations within deadline requirements.
  • Able to manage multiple accounts and projects concurrently.
  • Represent Tuttle Inc. professionally and with integrity at all times of interaction with clients, vendors, sub-contractors in both business and personal situations
  • Project accounting, including billing and completes all job costing and billing each month or upon the completion of a job; ensures all labor hours, materials and mis charges are charged appropriately to each job.


Performance & Job Expectations


  • Complete all duties as assigned by Tuttle Inc. management necessary to deliver Tuttle business performance targets.
  • Ability to execute projects within the guidelines of the defined project execution process
  • Compliance with all client, state, federal or local regulations and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates clear communication of project scope, objectives and deliverables in writing, using the Tuttle Inc project process to all departments including: Engineering, Fabrication and Installation teams.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and has information available to accurately represent active projects and bids in meeting.
  • Organize and execute projects appropriately so that there are no OSHA recordable injuries- all projects will be executed with the safety of Tuttle employees, sub contractors and client associates as the primary consideration
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with Tuttle associates, client project team members and subcontractors.
  • Responsible for maintaining Tuttle Inc supplied vehicle; keeping it clean and presentable and arranging with the maintenance department for any vehicle servicing.
  • 100% on time delivery of project completion against customer defined deadlines and start-up dates
  • Attend all required Safety Training meetings.
  • Cost and profitability expectations
  • Ability to consistently deliver projects to:
  • Complies with the Confidentiality and Non-solicitation agreement and the Social Media policy.

  • Onsite project management as needed to facilitate project installations, including weekend and holiday time as required.

Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should preferably have knowledge of CAD software. Must have experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.


Education/Experience


Associates Degree (A.A./A.S.) from an accredited college or university in a technical field; and a minimum of three years of direct project management experience with a demonstrated track record of successful execution. A combination of experience will be considered in lieu of education.


Knowledge Skills And Other Abilities


  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively read and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • CAD capabilities preferred
