Position Announcement: Environmental Project Manager
AllStar Ecology (ASE) has an immediate need for a Project Manager/Environmental Scientist for its Fairmont, West Virginia office location.
ASE’s multifaceted team includes planners, designers, biologists, ecologists, archaeologists, and scientists who partner with public and private clients in the transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments.
Our team guides clients through ecological, environmental, and permitting hurdles associated with development projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Responsibilities
Management of projects for permitting, stream and wetland delineation, archaeology investigations, storm water pollution prevention plans, threaten and endangered species surveys, impact assessments, mitigation, conservation, and monitoring.
Managing risk to ASE associated with this work.
Management of staff performing fieldwork, data processing, GIS mapping, and reporting
Assigning and reviewing work of others
Technical reporting
Coordination with clients, regulators, and ASE staff
Proposals and marketing
Project budgeting and financial management
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to conduct tasks independently.
Ability to think critically and solve problems in both a team and independent work environment.
Expertise in interpreting environmental regulations.
Business development expertise and an ability to establish a network of potential clients.
Active involvement in professional and business associations
Qualifications
BS in environmental science, natural resources, geology, or a related field
7-10 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, or related field
In depth knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic region state and federal permitting processes
Certified stream and wetland delineator
Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word, ArcGIS preferred.
Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 30-hr Certification and 10-hr Construction Site Safety Training
