Project Manager Iii (Contract)

We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead a critical project within the financial industry on a 12-month contract in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities:

• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are aligned and achieved effectively.
• Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize project efficiency and ensure project tasks are appropriately assigned.
• Create comprehensive project reports, status updates, and documentation using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools for clear project communication.
• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline that may require working after business hours including an occasional Saturday.
• Identify potential risks, proactively develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure timely issue resolution to maintain project momentum.

Requirements:

• Excellent presentation skills, capable of creating impactful visual presentations and status reports for stakeholders and executive teams.
• Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Project for creating detailed project schedules, task dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization to support project decision-making.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and clients at all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects using agile methodology from initiation to completion, delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of IT infrastructures and their impact on project planning and execution.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing IT projects, preferably within the financial industry or related domains.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
• Familiarity with file transfer protocols and technologies, enabling effective management of data exchange processes in projects.
