To keep that momentum going strong, we're on the hunt for an Architect to join the Black Spectacles learning team as a go-to subject matter expert, and leader/manager for the Learning content. As an Architect Educational Specialist, you’ll guide the direction of our learning content by advising on all things architecture as we improve our ARE test prep content and build new products.


You will:


  • Maintain, evaluate, and support all instructional assets: quizzes, practice exams, flashcards, and study guides
  • Be the subject matter expert and Lead effort for producing world class Learning content for architecture community
  • Be responsible for the ongoing QA of Black Spectacles content, particularly ensuring the accuracy of practice exam and quiz questions and clarifying customer issues when needed
  • Identify areas for improvement and assist in the design, development, and delivery of new course content or learning features that meet the needs of our customers
  • Leverage learning theory and industry-standard best practices to update existing online course materials to meet learning objectives and ensure accuracy and engagement goals
  • Collaborate with other Learning Team members, including learning designers and other architects, to research and develop content for study materials. You’ll be at the helm of ideating and writing test prep content and working with video and motion graphics teams to make tough architectural concepts come to life
  • Hire, evaluate, and oversee architect consultants for project-based work


Requirements


You might be a great fit if:


  • You love learning new things: you're excited to dive deep into reference materials and resources to determine the information that is the most pertinent to the exam, and how to present it
  • You have a strong desire to help architects on their path to licensure
  • You are a licensed architect with at least 8 years of experience
  • You have experience designing, developing, and producing e-learning content, including storyboards and videos
  • You have experience managing multiple commercial projects from start to finish (including bidding, SD, DD, and CA)
  • You have experience leading and managing high performing teams
  • You are skilled in communicating difficult concepts and theories related to architecture
  • Preferred, but not required: you have experience teaching, mentoring, or helping others prepare for the ARE
  • You're willing to be accountable to our customers’ success, you encourage and respect your teammates, and you're careful and thoughtful with your work. You also appreciate and value the power of great design
