You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of project controls, cost management, and a background in construction and engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to reflect accurate timelines and critical path activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, identify project milestones, and determine the sequencing of activities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on project schedules, progress, and potential deviations to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and transparency.
  • Utilize project controls methodologies and techniques to monitor and track project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, and report on cost performance.

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in project controls, cost management, construction, and engineering.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of project schedules, identifying potential risks, delays, or resource constraints and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct resource loading and leveling analysis to optimize resource allocation and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Analyze project performance metrics, such as earned value analysis, schedule variance, and cost performance index, to assess project health and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support project risk management activities by identifying schedule-related risks and assisting in the development of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of project controls methodologies, including cost management, earned value analysis, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, to analyze and present project-related data.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies in project data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, to develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in scheduling and project controls within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and precision in analyzing project data and identifying potential issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced degrees in project management or project controls would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with construction and engineering principles, including sequencing of activities, critical path analysis, and resource allocation.
