Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Project Consultant for the Rutgers Center for Organizational Leadership. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Office of University Strategy and Director, Rutgers Center for Organizational Leadership, and in collaboration with the Senior Program Administrator, provides consultative advice and support to the Rutgers Leadership Academy ( RLA ), a signature leadership development program for Rutgers faculty and academic staff.

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement
Under Policy 60.1.35 (https://policies.rutgers.edu/60-1-35-currentpdf) , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility. Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID -19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID -19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices ( ACIP ) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC ). Eligibility for a booster against COVID -19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree required, preferably in organizational leadership, organizational communication, or related field
  • A minimum of (5) years project management experience in a university, government, or non-profit setting required.
  • Three years’ experience designing and implementing large-scale leadership development programs
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and ability to apply principles operationally
  • Experience with online instruction
  • Ability to lead relevant research projects
  • Proven group facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of best practices in leadership development and training effectiveness
  • Practical skills and knowledge of communication, change management, and stakeholder analysis tools
  • Ability to build relationships with academic stakeholders, including senior administrators, faculty, and staff
  • Leadership development and program assessment expertise

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals (https://policies.rutgers.edu/sites/default/files/100-3-1-current.pdf) , if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain a medical or religious exemption from the University will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
