PROGRAMMER ANALYST

IMT Insurance is hiring an enthusiastic Programmer Analyst to join our team of developers. This individual will work to support existing legacy (mainframe) systems while building their skillset for web-based system enhancements and support. You must be self-motivated, eager and willing to suggest new efficient enhancements from automation to design. Apply online today!

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Work independently but also in a cooperative manner for larger projects.
• Participate in ‘on call’ rotation.
• Work with subject matter experts to understand legacy system development layout, process, and procedures.
• Work to support and enhance our current products while working, in a collaborative team environment, to analyze, develop, and implement efficiencies.

DESIRED QUALIFICAITONS

• Experience programming in COBOL
• Knowledge of JCL, DB2, CICS, Fileaid, TSO. Experience on IBM Z/OS mainframe is a plus.
• Ability to pay close attention to details.
• Fundamental understanding of system development.
• Proven ability to analyze and problem solve.
• Web programming (Python, Perl, .js, etc..) a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of SQL language. Ability to create own queries, write/update stored procedures.

The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $120,000.00

Starting salary will depend on level of experience

Fully remote work involves important payroll and legal considerations for the company. IMT has identified eligible states of residence for continued employment with IMT. Eligible states include: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
