Posting Summary


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager (International Partnerships) for the Rutgers Global Health Institute. This position reports to the Director of RGHI and supports exciting international global health efforts across Rutgers University in New Jersey and with international partners. This position provides project management, especially for health-related work in Botswana in southern Africa and for new proposal development. The program aims to provide technical advice to the Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital ( SKMTH ) in Botswana and its stakeholders to create a quaternary referral hospital with international accreditation.


Among the key duties of the position are the following:


  • Along with the Director of RGHI and other program staff, this position works with collaborators and staff internationally to ensure compliance and administrative management of internationally based projects and grants.
  • Works to identify additional global health partnership opportunities and expand national healthcare capacity at the new academic teaching hospital in Botswana.
  • Serves as the central project management for the technical advisory for and with SKMTH in Botswana and for the management of other related RGHI programs in that country.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience


  • A minimum of five years of experience and/or increasing responsibility in project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; and combination of Masters level education and/or experience in administration, high-level of project management and related experience.


Certifications/Licenses


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills.
  • Must have strong skills in project management administration, planning, budgeting, and management.
  • Ability to guide teams and work with diverse partners to set clear goals and achieve tangible, documented results.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of hospital service administration or clinical service delivery management a plus.
  • Knowledge of the management of programs in international settings is a plus.
