Job Description
Overview
As part of St. Jude’s continued and expanding effort to support the professional development of students, postdocs, clinical fellows and early career faculty, we are establishing a new office for Research Education and Training Grants. The Program Coordinator will work with faculty, trainees and other key stakeholders in support of pre- and post-award administration of NIH-funded institutional grants related to training and education. We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated experience with project management, excellent communication skills, and an eagerness to contribute to an exciting area of growth for research training at St. Jude.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares checklists, timelines, and institutional data needed for new, competing and non-competing renewal grant applications, and coordinates meetings with PIs and support staff to ensure timely submission.
  • Tracks and processes trainee appointment, reappointment and termination through the NIH system in close coordination with institutionally offices.
  • Works with trainees, mentors, PIs and Grants Accounting to process grant funds and monitor budget.
  • Coordinates pre- and post-award management of institutional research education, training, and similar grants (R25, T32, K12, D43).
  • Coordinates and advertises training program events, tracks trainee participation, and assists with preparation of reports on training activities and outcomes.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
Minimum Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working with project planning tools like MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office.
  • Two (2) years of experience in program/project support and coordination.
  • Proven track record of attention to detail & delivering high quality work.
