Accord is seeking a Program Coordinator to develop and implement activities for individuals with developmental and other disabilities attending our Day Supports Program.
- Serve as a representative of the agency to the people we support, our community partners and external constituents. Be a positive role model for other employees
- Implement, communicate, and post the program schedule so program attendees can choose activities in which they have interest and meet their defined goals
- Create and implement structure to evaluate program offerings, identify gaps, and generate new ideas to meet the needs of attendees and remain relevant in the industry
- Travel locally for work with limited overnight travel possible
- Document any billable services provided in the selected electronic health record/database system within 1 business day of providing services
- Build relationships with community organizations to facilitate partnerships and opportunities for a greater variety of programming.
- Create and implement structure to evaluate program effectiveness; adjust programs where needed to ensure quality programming that meets the needs of individuals and is delivered professionally and efficiently
- Convene workgroups to build relationships with program attendees and get input into the type and frequency of desired programming that meets their needs.
- Train employees on program delivery and provide support as programs are implemented.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills/abilities
- Be forward thinking; identify and propose ideas for new programming.
- Secure and prepare needed program-related materials.
- Plan and implement in-person, virtual, and community-based programming that nurtures the needs, self-expression, and goals of persons supported. Examples of programs include Community-Based Skill Building, Healthy Relationships, and Personal Empowerment and Self-Advocacy.
- Track program ratios; ensure sufficient staffing and programming to meet the needs of individuals supported by the program and in compliance with service standards
- As a mandated reporter, respond and report all incidents that occur while providing services to protect the health and safety of and minimize risk of harm to the person(s) supported.
- The ability to interact with people with disabilities and work colleagues in a respectful, positive, and encouraging way.
- Excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills
- A passion to make a difference and the desire to learn.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent), preferably in Human Services or a closely related field is required

- Hourly wage of $19-21
