Job Description

Job Location: The Family Support Division (FSD), Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking applications for a Program Coordinator for the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) & Domestic Violence Shelter Services (DVSS) Unit. This position will be located in Cole County based at 3418 Knipp Drive in Jefferson City, MO.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure all GMS performance data is federally reported (quarterly and annually).
  • Oversee all programmatic functions of all DVSS funded programs and contractors in the State (TANF, GR, FVPSA funded)-which include Domestic Violence Shelter and Services programs to include shelter, counseling, legal aid, advocacy, safety planning and much more.
  • Work with community partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Oversee all programmatic functions of all VOCA funded programs and sub recipients in the State including organizations/programs such as: Child abuse programs CASAs/CACs, Domestic Violence Programs/Shelters/Counseling Services, Sexual Violence Programs/Shelters/Counseling Services, Transitional Housing, Emergency Legal Processes Custody/Protection orders, Safety Planning Services, System Based/Prosecutor Based Victim Advocate programs, Counseling services and many more.
  • Ensure all PMT(Performance Measurement Tool) federal reporting is completed (quarterly and annually).
  • One year of probationary employment.
  • Ensure all FFATA (Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act) reporting for DSS is completed.
  • Represent OWCI and the Department of Social Services at State and Federal Conferences as the VOCA/DVSS Manager for training and best practices.
  • Supervise four professional staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Represent OWCI on various workgroups as a VOCA/DVSS representative.

All you need for success: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in the following: Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Family and Child Development, Human Services, Counseling, Public or Business or Health Care Administration, Nursing, Physical Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Nutrition or a closely related field; and

Four or more years of professional experience in protective services for children; self-sufficiency/income maintenance; child support; in-home services; programs for blind or visually impaired persons; Medicaid or other health insurance programs; nursing; health care or health delivery system; pharmacy or pharmacology; treatment and education of adjudicated juveniles; juvenile delinquency prevention programs; or resource, financial or legal investigations.

(Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)

(Earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in the specified areas may substitute on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of the required experience at a rate of 24 earned credit hours for one year.)
